I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m not a pro when it comes to photography.  I don’t own one of those fancy DSLR cameras, in fact – my camera is small enough to fit in my pocket and I don’t even know how to use the settings.  I usually just point and click…and sometimes zoom.

However, thanks to Windows Live Photo Gallery, I learned a fancy trick not long ago that allowed me to create pictures like this….

The trick is to snap a series of pictures from one vantage point, overlapping them as you go.  Once you have the images in Windows Live Photo Gallery, click on Create, then Panoramic and crop the photo to the proper size.  (It’s really that easy! Promise!)

My husband and I have had such a great time trying to see who can make the best panoramic picture.  I think this one above from Hoover Dam probably wins “best picture” at our house.

I’m excited to take some more pictures of our travels this summer to add to our collection of panoramic photographs.
