Five Kid-Friendly Perks at Loews Royal Pacific Resort #UORfamily

Before staying at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios last month, I had always pictured Loews properties across the country to be a business traveler hotel.

And wow, did they prove me wrong. The Loews Royal Pacific Resort proved to be one of the most kid-friendly resorts my family has ever experienced.

Family-Friendly Pool

The pool activities team welcome us with complimentary sunscreen (a “must” in the Florida weather!) and an area filled with pool toys available for loan.  Maggie was in heaven – funnoodles, buckets, shovels and more! The toys were perfect for the pool area and the secluded sandy area was perfect for sand castles!

Loews Royal Pacific Resort Pool

There are also fun pool activities throughout the day.  We loved watching the “Biggest Splash” contest – with kids (and adults) competing to create the biggest pool entrance splash.Fun for the whole family! There’s even an interactive water area for bigger kids – be on the lookout for the water sprayers!

Don’t miss the Dive-In nightly movie at the pool…and get there early, it’s a popular event!

Fisher-Price Amenities

Upon check-in, both Maggie and Molly were each given their own Fisher-Price Little People toys.  How cool is that?  Such a fantastic gift for my weary travelers.

I was also thrilled to learn about the Fisher-Price amenities checkout program – complimentary to families.  Bounce seats, toys and even a Fisher-Price training toilet for little ones in the potty training stages. (Perfect for Maggie!)  It’s almost like being at home – such a lifesaver!

Kids Club/In-Room Sitters

Children ages 4-12 will love The Mariners Club!  Available nightly for a small fee, kids can enjoy movies, popcorn and video games while parents enjoy a night out.  Since our girls are still young, we loved having the option of an in-room sitter from Kids Nite Out (available for an additional fee).

Jurassic Park Themed Rooms

Dinosaur lovers and families in need of extra space will love the Jurassic Park themed rooms. With 670 square feet, these adjoining rooms featuring two televisions and are perfect for adding some extra magic to any vacation.

Four-Legged Children Welcome Too!

Loews properties don’t want your furry children to be left out.  The “Loews Loves Pets” program allows small, well-behaved dogs to stay on property.  Maggie loved seeing a few of the small dogs staying at the resort.

Loews Royal Pacific Pool Fun

We were extremely impressed with the added amenities offered to make even the youngest traveler feel welcome.  The Loews Royal Pacific Resort changed my way of thinking about traveling with toddlers.

The more kid-friendly amenities, the happier the child….and a happier mama too!

Have you stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort?  What did you think of it?

It is beautiful – the decor really makes you feel like you are in the South Pacific. So pretty!

This is one of my fave hotels for family travel, too! Our kids, like yours, LOVED getting the FP little people toy at check in. What a treat! (and we’ve been a few times, so we have quite the collection of little people that we love adding to the little people toys we already have!)
Another perk that I was uber impressed with was the freshly pureed baby food they offered in the on-site restaurants. I was shocked they had fresh carrots, fruits, etc… What a treat for when traveling with a baby! (Or even a toddler, as I was able to mix the pureed carrot into the mac n cheese to sneak in some veggie!) It is a great hotel!

The Little People toys are almost like a souvenir all on their own! It’s a great added touch!

And I am totally loving that they had pureed baby food – that is the epitome of baby friendly! Definitely something you won’t see at most hotels.

Gorgeous!! And wow! That Jurassic Park room is so cool. Did it have a good emergency exit? 😉

    • Carrie with Children

Ha! I’m going to assume that it did! I’m not sure I’m brave enough to stay in that Jurassic Park room – I have a fear of velocaraptors! 🙂

Wow! Definitely family-friendly, I had no idea! I love that gorgeous pool and Hayden would love the Jurassic Park rooms (Heath would too, haha!)

I love the new trend of having loaner toys are resorts! We have not stayed at a Loews property but thought about it on our last trip. I guess we need to stay at one now.

We loved staying here too! I didn’t know about the Fisher Price toys but that’s an amazing amenity. I love the last picture! So cute!

I learned about the Fisher-Price toys when they brought us our pack/play for Molly. I’ve never seen a resort with this kind of program – loved it!

I thought the same about Loews resorts – that they were for adults on business trips. Love the toys and the themed rooms.

I’m so in love with this resort! My girls loved it too – can’t wait to go back! Thanks for reading, Kelly!

OH I may have to think about switching our hotel for vacation next year. I love the looks of the Jurassic Park rooms. My dinosaur lovers would be in heaven.

Quick question– Did you use the cribs at the resort? If so, did you feel that they were safe? We are flying and don’t want to bring the pack n play, but some hotel cribs are terrible.

    • Carrie with Children

Hi Catherine – We did use the crib at the resort and honestly it was probably the nicest we’ve ever used while traveling. It was sturdy wood with crib bumpers around the edges (that you could remove if you wanted) and it was a really great quality mattress too.

If I were you, I wouldn’t worry with bringing yours from home – our Molly slept great in it! Enjoy your trip!

Remember, acid reflux is a sign that your natural
digestive process is out of balance. “We know that an increase in body weight increases the chance of having heartburn and acid reflux, which can increase the risk of esophageal ulcers and cancer,” says
Dr. This is certainly very true when alcohol is consumed during the evening.
