I’m thrilled to be a part of the Windows Champions blogger program again this year! Since the recent unveiling of Windows 8, I’ve been excited to get my own PC up and running with the new system.
This year, I have the opportunity to use the fantastic Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13. Here are some of the things I like the most about this great looking PC -
I think the thing I love the most about the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga is the flexibility. With just a flip of the keyboard, this laptop converts to a tablet. I’ll never forget the look on my parent’s faces when I showed them the “tricks” my new PC could do. They were afraid I was going to break it by flipping the keyboard backwards.
Check out this quick video I made to show you the different modes -
I am now addicted to using my PC as a touchscreen! I love swiping across the screen and love being able to use my hands instead of the touchpad or an external mouse. I’m a Mahjong Solitaire (don’t judge!) and being able to use it as a touchscreen makes it that much more addictive! I also think it’s easier to maneuver around the screens – it’s easy! The touchscreen feature also works if you have it in the laptop mode.
This is my first experience with a Lenovo PC and I’m pretty impressed so far. The 13-inch screen seems much bigger (and I mean that in a good way). The quality of the graphics and the overall picture is extremely clear with vibrant colors.
There are so many great, new features in Windows 8 – I’m having fun exploring them all. Stay tuned in the coming weeks, I’m going to share with you some of my new favorite Windows 8 apps!
What would you like to know about Windows 8?
