I’m slowly working my way back into the swing of a routine. We had a busy (but very fun) Labor Day weekend. I think we were all happy to see Tuesday morning arrive so we could get back in our school routine.
My college roommate came to visit us for the weekend. She hadn’t seen the girls in over a year, they were all thrilled to see one another. It didn’t take Molly long to warm right up to her.
We loved having her here. I’m sure it was quite a culture shock being immersed in a life surrounded by toddlers, but she was awesome and she spoiled my kids rotten.
Yesterday, we celebrated a BIG birthday at our house. My amazing husband turned the big 40 years old! (I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing his age! Ha!) Insisting that we don’t have a party for him, we had family over for a big dinner. It was a great way to celebrate him. There was even German chocolate cake – his favorite!
The girls headed back to school this morning and I could tell they were tired when they got home. I think we’ll have a house full of early bedtimes tonight!
