I can’t believe I forgot to mention that yesterday, my local newspaper, the Florida Times-Union, published my Down Syndrome Awareness Month blog post I wrote about Molly! They even included a precious picture of her too! Now everyone knows about our cute little girl. For any new readers, here’s a link to Molly’s story.
I submit my posts to the Skirt Jacksonville site and they contacted me about printing Molly’s story to help spread the word for Down Syndrome Awareness month! As an old PR girl, it was a very different, but great feeling seeing my name in print as a contributor! I hope that by sharing our story, others will learn about Down Syndrome and understand the importance of supporting families in similar situations.
You can find my Skirt Jacksonville story here. Maybe this is just the beginning of seeing my name in print!
