Five Question Friday – November 12

by Carrie with Children with 3 comments
What are you doing this weekend? Anything fun?  I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend and hoping to soak up some sunshine – the weather is supposed to be perfect!

Just a reminder, I’m linking up with others for Five Question Friday and I don’t make up the questions.  Truthfully, not the best questions this week….but I’ll play anyways!  Will you?

What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you? I had major knee surgery about six months after I graduated from college. I was a dancer for almost 15 years and that was the cue I needed to hang up my dancing shoes.  I had physical therapy for close to four months, three days a week.  The pain was excruciating…I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.

How much sleep do you get at night? Is ‘not enough’ a suitable answer?  I’m a night owl and try to get to bed by midnight. Lately, I’m awake until 1 or 2am for no good reason. Ridiculous, I know.  The girls are usually awake by 7:30 or 8:00am.  They are my personal alarm clock!

How long did you believe in Santa Claus? How did you find out that he does not exist? Um…he still exists.  I don’t know who came up with this question.  Next…..

What was the last movie you saw in a theater? I should be ashamed to admit this, but… I haven’t been to the movies in probably three years..at least. (Ah, the life of a stay at home mom with two babies.)  I have absolutely no idea what the last movie was I saw in a theater.  None.

What do you wear to bed? Totally TMI.  A t-shirt and jammie shorts.

It really stinks not being able to go to movies very often once kids are in the picture, huh? I know the feeling! That actually might be the most painful thing that's ever happened to me.

    1. Car accident about three years ago – the car flipped, landed on the passenger side (my side) and slid down the interstate. My window broke so my arm ended up sliding down the interstate, too. I spent six weeks going to a wound care doctor who removed pieces of dirt, gravel and glass with a scalpel and tweezers. I also had to change the bandages twice a day, which would stick to the open wound and have to be soaked off. It took almost four months for the wound to close completely. Definitely the most pain I have ever experienced, and hopefully the most pain I will experience in my life!

    2. Usually 8 hours. I have no kids 🙂

    3. Probably until I was 8 or so? I don't really remember. My older brothers most likely spilled the beans.

    4. Inception. What a fabulous film. Don't make it to the theater often, though.

    5. Pajama pants and a tank top.

Thanks for sharing-my hubby had both knees operated on-I've seen the pain he's been in, along with therapy-sorry you had to deal with it too.
Thanks for joining the blog hop so we could enjoy your answers!
