I’ve been following the Wyndham Tampa on Twitter and Facebook for awhile now.  They caught my attention with their iPad giveaway initially (it’s over now…I didn’t win).  I checked out their hotel online – it looked awesome, so I continued to follow along!  The next promotion was a scavenger hunt in select cities in the Southeast – one being Jacksonville!  Yay!

So, today was the scavenger hunt and the winners in each city received a two-night stay including breakfast and the choice of tickets to Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium or dinner for two and a movie. We’ve been talking about going to the aquarium for awhile now, my husband loves anything to do with the water – so I was determined to win this prize!  It would be the perfect mini-vacation for our family, especially since it’s only 2 1/2hours away from home!

Last night, an early bird clue was posted with the general area of town where the prize was hidden.  So, this morning the girls and I packed it up and headed that direction and waited for the first clue to be sent at noon.  Long story short, the scavenger hunt led us to an awesome coffee shop and we WON the scavenger hunt!   YAY!  Here’s Maggie and I with the hidden prize – a football helmet!  (Molly was sleeping in her car seat at my feet.)

I am so excited about our mini-vacation!  I’m hoping we can go sometime after the Christmas holidays!  It will be a nice getaway for us and some fun, family time!  Stay on the lookout for a wrap-up of our trip for a future Travel Tuesday!  For now – go follow Wyndham Tampa on Twitter and Facebook – maybe you can be the next big winner!
