I’ve been a Disney fan since I was a little girl. Being a Florida native, we had annual passes growing up to Walt Disney World, hitting the parks at least once a month – sometimes more. Some of my fondest memories growing up are Disney related.
Soon, my girls will be experiencing the magic of the Disney World parks for the first time. Last week, I was accepted to participate in the 2011 Disney Social Media Moms conference! The family-friendly conference includes educational learning sessions along with great networking opportunities and to top it all off – we are staying at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and we get to visit the parks!
We took Maggie to Orlando this past March, but didn’t visit any parks. We spent most of our time hanging out at Downtown Disney. We picked up some fun things at the stores, had lunch at the House of Blues and just enjoyed soaking up the Disney magic. Maggie even got her first pair of Mickey ears to mark the occasion!

I took WJXT news anchors Tom Wills and Rob Sweeting to Disneyland in California years ago as part of their participation in the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. Tom was thrilled when he went through the gate and won a nifty Mickey Mouse watch.

WOW that's awesome you'll be staying at the Grand Floridian!
Disney World is where we spent our honeymoon! I haven't been back since 1995 sadly my husband's health won't allow it,because I was seriously thinking for our 30th next year that would be awesome.
