Five Question Friday – January 21

So….what are your plans for this weekend?  My husband is out of town for work still (boo!) so I’m in charge all weekend. We are going to my niece’s sixth birthday party tomorrow!  Should be a lot of fun!  I’m still trying to get over the fact that she is six!  Happy Birthday Allison!

Just a reminder, I’m linking up with others for Five Question Friday and I don’t make up the questions. Click on the button below to see a linky list of others also participating.  Be sure and share your below too!

Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love? Well this answer is going to be embarrassing.  After college, while searching for a job I lived with my sister and slept on her couch.  (Didn’t everyone go through a phase like that?!) Anyways, my sister and now brother-in-law were friends with my now husband.  He came by one Sunday and they were all going to a football game…here’s the embarrassing part.  I was half asleep on my sister’s couch the first time we met..I was even in my jammies! When he asked if I wanted to go too, I said no.  That’s right, peeps..I turned down an offer to go to a football game with a cute guy.  Shame on me!  Luckily, he didn’t give up on me…and now eight years later, I’m still around!

What is your favorite room in your house?  Probably our family room.  That’s where we spend most of our time, hanging out and being silly with our babies.  Random fact:  It’s also where my husband proposed to me…many years and babies ago.  🙂

Can you wiggle your ears?  Um, no.   Can you?!

What is your evening ritual?  I am a self-diagnosed OCDer.  I have a lot of evening rituals.  One blog post isn’t even enough to cover all the random things I do before bedtime each night. Here are a few highlights of things I “have” to do…(and it’s okay to think I’m nuts..my husband does!)..  no dirty dishes allowed in the sink before going to bed, pillows must be neatly arranged on the couch at bedtime, dresser drawers must be closed all the way and no dirty clothes in the floor.  I know it’s probably weird, but I can’t lay down until I do those things.

How many hours of sleep do you need to function?  I’m going to guesstimate and say five hours is my minimum.  In a perfect world, I’d get a full eight hours – but I’m a mom…that’s just not gonna happen.  Ever.
