Happy St. Patrick’s Day – My Journey to Ireland

by Carrie with Children with 4 comments

I have an Irish sounding last name,  my girls, Maggie and Molly, have strong, Irish names (on purpose)… so it goes without saying that I love St. Patrick’s Day and all things Irish. I’ve always secretly wanted red, curly hair too…  I think it’s the Irish in me.

My view from the airplane

I was fortunate to travel to Ireland in 1999 and again in 2000,  it is an absolutely breathtaking country.  The people, the food, the landscape….I love everything about it.  Funny enough, on one of my trips I asked a local how they celebrated St. Patrick’s Day and he told me that every day was St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland.

Today, as I make my way to the Disney Social Media Moms conference, Check out this archived post telling all about my journey to Ireland.

Are you doing anything to celebrate the day?

I like to wear green on this day. Glad you had a wonderful trip. I have that on my wish list of travels.

I hope I get to go to Ireland some day.

I’m making corned beef hash and an Irish dessert, wearing green, and watching Darby O’Gill and the Little People just for fun. 😉

So cool! I’m “Katherine Sullivan” and I’m 100% Italian : ) We visited Ireland too and the Irish told us how they want to come to America to celebrate the holiday because it’s more of a celebration here than it is there!
