It’s no secret that I’m a proud special needs mom. And while I’m still new to the special needs community, I’ve found that it’s vibrant, positive and fantastic! Yesterday morning, I had the opportunity to participate in a conference call announcing a fantastic partnership between Procter & Gamble and the Special Olympics. It was so inspiring to hear from Molly Hincka, a Special Olympics athlete and her mom, Kerry along with the CEO of Special Olympics, Tim Shriver.

Procter & Gamble has been as a proud partner of Special Olympics for more than 31 years. P&G not only celebrates and supports Special Olympics’ athletes, but also their moms, who ultimately want what all moms want… to see their children have every opportunity they deserve.

To show your support for these athletes, I encourage you to visit P&G’s Thank You Mom Facebook page.  For every “like” and comment received to their page, P&G will donate $1  to support Special Olympics Team USA’s journey to the World Summer Games in Athens, Greece.  So tell your friends and share the word via your online community – let’s help them reach the $250,000 donation mark.  All it takes is a simple “like” on Facebook.
