I wish the folks at Hallmark made a card that said “Thanks for helping me go to BlogHer’11”. If they did, I would buy it for them. I was the lucky winner of the Hallmark Twitter giveaway for a full conference pass to BlogHer’11. And while they weren’t my official sponsor, they played an incredibly huge part of me being able to attend the conference.
(Disclosure: They didn’t ask me to do any special posts, tweets or anything in return for the conference pass, however I feel the need to thank them on my site by showing you their fantastic presence at the conference.)
The Hallmark booth was so interactive! I wrote down my definition of “special occasion” and placed it on the Hallmark wall. I loved reading everyone’s thoughts – mine was “nap time is a special occasion“. (Don’t you think that’s worth celebrating? I do!)
Next up – T-shirt time! Check me out sporting my Hallmark shirt below. I decided “being a mom” was also a special occasion worth celebrating. I apologize for the cheesy grin and my bad handwriting. Everyone that had their picture taken was added to the Hallmark VisibleMash – you’ve gotta check it out. So neat!
The Hallmark Suite was also filled with chocolate chip cookies, comfy couches and plenty of cards! You could send cards (for free) to loved ones at home or even fellow bloggers at the conference! My grandmother was in the hospital during BlogHer, so I picked out a “get well soon” for her. She was thrilled last week when she found out I sent the card all the way from California! (It’s the little things in life, sometimes!)
The suite was a great place to take a break, charge up your phone (thanks to the power outlets they provided!) and send some cards to friends and family. You could even record a video sharing your stories of special occasions – all the videos were also streamed to the Hallmark Visible Mash site.
.
So….what’s your definition of a Special Occasion?! Nap time? Being a mom? Anniversary? Share it on the Hallmark Visible Mash by clicking the “Add Yourself” button on the lower left-hand side of the site.
Be sure and follow the Hallmark PR team on Twitter for all the latest news on events and new products!

Wow that sounds like a great time! A special occasion for me would be getting out on a real date with the hubby (just the two of us). We have only been out twice since Maggie was born and they were both to see the Harry Potter movies (my choice)!!!
