Windows Champions Program and The Sony Vaio Y

As someone with a love (borderline addiction) to social media, a great PC is a must – I need a laptop with a lot of power, one that’s mobile and has a long battery life. I don’t claim to be an expert in PCs, but I love gadgets and anything that can make my life easier. That’s why I’m excited to tell you about my latest partnership with  Microsoft Windows.

As a member of the Windows Champions program for the next year, I’ll have the opportunity to participate in fun, educational webinars to learn about the great features surrounding Windows PCs.  I’m excited to share what I learn with you and explore how these resources can enhance my online and offline life.  In addition to the great learning opportunities, I’ve also received a Sony Vaio Y laptop to use as a loaner for the next year. And it just so happens to be pink – how cool is that?!

Some of the features I’m excited to learn more about during the Windows Champions program include

  • Windows Live Writer –  From what I’ve heard, it’s a “must have” for bloggers offering  a great platform for writing posts.
  • OneNote –  It offers the ability to capture and organize notes, pictures and research.  It sounds great for traveling and even budgeting money for projects.
  • SkyDrive – This one really has my interest.  All I know is that I have 25GB of free cloud space, but I’m not sure what to do with it yet! I’m excited to sit in on a webinar next week to learn all about it. (Don’t worry, I’ll take good notes for you.)
  • Windows Live Movie Maker –  I’ve been using this program for a few months and I love it.  I’m hoping to learn some fancy tricks throughout the next year to become an expert!

What Microsoft Windows programs are you interested in learning more about here on my site?  Do you currently use Windows Live Writer?  If so, what do you think of it?

**I am a member of the Windows Champions blogger program. As part of this arrangement, I have been loaned a Windows 7 PC for the course of year and have the opportunity to learn about Windows and Microsoft products. I’m also excited to share information with you.**

I used Live Writer for a really long time and then stopped for some unknown reason. I really need to start using it again, especially when on the road where I’m not able to access an internet connection.

I am looking forward to your notes on One Note (hehe). Everyone was raving about it during the #win7tech chat a couple of weeks ago and it definitely got my attention.

I’ve never tried Live Writer, from what others have said – it sounds really great though. I’m hoping to jump into it this weekend.

I’ll let you know what I learn about OneNote – sounds like a great tool

I love that it’s pink, but I’m a Mac girl.

It’s a really bright pink too! Super cute! I’ve never even touched a Mac before 🙂

Yay! So happy to be on the Windows Champions program with you. I opted for the silver computer this year. Last year I had the hot pink netbook for my loaner – I’m kind of sad to see it go, but excited about the new machine also.

I use Windows Live Writer every day. Have been using it for all my blog posts for over a year now and love it!

I think the pink one will be great…..I don’t have to worry about my husband trying to “borrow” it! hehehe

I’m excited to start using Windows Live Writer. Anything to make life easier!
