Thankful Thoughts on A Thursday

by Carrie with Children with 12 comments

Not gonna lie, I’ve been in a strange mood funk lately.   I’ve decided to spend today being thankful for the people and things around me.

I’m thankful for toddlers that like to ride bikes.  I’m also thankful for nice neighbors who offer “hand me downs” – yay for a free bike! Maggie is figuring out how to ride her bike – and she doesn’t need or want anyone’s help.  She’s a big girl now…or at least she thinks so.

I’m thankful for football season.  Go Jaguars.  Enough said.

I’m thankful for my cute Molly and that she loves swinging in the front yard.  We were a little hesitant she would be scared – but she LOVED it.  Tons of laughs and smiles.  My Molly knows no fear!

I’m thankful for husbands that know (and love) to cook.  Check out this amazing steak he made for dinner recently.  Blue cheese crumbles and a garlic cream sauce.  SO delicious.

I know I’m not the only one who gets in “funks”.   So, tell me …..

What are you thankful for today?

Geez, that steak looks phenomenal. My husband can scramble eggs and pour cereal, the end. Enjoy that!

I am thankful for my happy, healthy children today. I’m not usually so cliche in my gratitude, but in light of reading about some big sadness it just feels good to have my kids with me….wait, did I just say that?

My hubby LOVES cooking…and he’s so good at it. I look watching him cook 🙂

Isn’t it great to feel so thankful about having awesome kids?! 🙂

I’m thankful for being able to do freelance consultant so I can see my kids more than when I worked at an office. Woohoo!

Can your hubs write down the recipe? That looks awesome. I think I am going to steal this idea for next Thursday! I love it.

You mean ask him to divulge his secrets?! 😉 Of course…. I will get him to write it all down and I’ll email it to you! It is super tasty and delicious

She loves the swing! Isn’t it terrible that we live in Florida and it’s just starting to cool off enough to where we can go outside and play again?!
