Last week, thanks to the folks at MomSelect, we had the opportunity to host a Learn, Create, Share Party featuring the new LeapFrog LeapPad and the Tag reading system.   We invited our friends over for an afternoon filled with laughs, good food and lots of excitement over the LeapFrog products!

The kids had a great time playing with the LeapFrog LeapPad and the Tag reading system.  In addition to having fun, I think they all learned about having patience and sharing too… because once they got a hold of the products, they didn’t want to stop playing with them!

The Tag Reading System is a fantastic way to practice reading and have fun at the same time.   The kids enjoyed reading books, playing the “I Spy” game and of course the boys loved reading about Spiderman! Just by scrolling the Tag reader over the words, kids are listening and learning together.  I especially love that the Tag reader allows children to read an entire page, a word or discover surprises just by touching the pictures.   The kids all enjoyed playing with the Tag map too!  Thanks to the Tag reader, Maggie loves showing me different countries!

The LeapFrog LeapPad is really a fantastic toy and learning tool for kids.  And while the recommended age is 4-9 year olds, my almost three-year old, Maggie is in love with it!  With the ability to watch LeapFrog movies, draw in the art studio, play educational games and even read stories – the LeapFrog is a mini-tablet for kids.  The LeapFrog LeapPad has a built-in still camera, a video camera and uses cartridges too.  Plus, by simply connecting the LeapPad to your computer, you can download apps and keep track of a child’s progress via the LeapFrog Learning Path account.

In my opinion, the LeapFrog products are “must have” toys for the upcoming holiday season.  The kids at our party fell in love with them….and I’m pretty sure their parents did too!  For more pictures from our LeapFrog Learn, Create and Share Party, check out the Carrie with Children Facebook page!
