Recipe: Graham Cracker Crisps

by Carrie with Children with 20 comments

I’ve had this Graham Cracker Crisp recipe written on an index card for years.  I’m not even sure where it came from, but I finally decided to give it a try…. it’s super simple and delicious!

All you need is 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter, one cup of brown sugar, about twelve graham crackers and one cup of nuts (I used pecans).

Place the graham crackers on a foil lined cookie sheet.  Mix the nuts, butter and brown sugar on the stove and bring to a boil for three minutes.

Once the mixture comes to a boil, spoon it over the graham crackers and put in the over at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

After it comes out of the oven, let it cool for an hour. Then, break it into pieces and enjoy!  I love this recipe because it’s easy and affordable.  It tastes just like a mini pecan pie!

Let me know if you decide to give this recipe a try!  It’s one of my new favorites!  Enjoy!

A quilting friend made this and she used townhouse crackers instead of graham crackers and it was also delish.

Carole – That is a great idea! I’ve got some Townhouse crackers at home, may have to give that a try too! Thanks!

Those look yummy. And I like the idea of the Townhouse crackers to create a salty sweet treat.

Thanks, Cassie! I think I’m going to make some more using Townhouse crackers – it does sound like a great combo!
