My husband and I frequently have “at home date nights” and it usually involves playing games on our Nintendo Wii. We are both competitive and love a good challenge, so we love playing active games against each other.
We recently had the opportunity to play the new Family Game Night 4: The Game Show, featuring the Hasbro games – Connect 4 Basketball, Yahtzee! Bowling, Scrabble Flash, Bop-It Boptagon and Sorry! Sliders. Mr. Potato Head served as the game show host and we couldn’t help but laugh at his outfits – too cute!
We really enjoyed playing each of the games and earning Monopoly Crazy Cash after each round. I think Yahtzee Bowling was my favorite with each of the pins having a numbered side, you had three turns to make the best Yahtzee hand.
The Scrabble Flash game definitely required a little more brain power. Searching to make words out of five letters, the player with the most points at the end of the game is declared the big winner. And after battling my husband in Connect 4 Basketball, I think we both agreed I need more practice. I couldn’t compete with his basketball skills, he’s too good.
This was a perfect game for our “at home date night”. My husband was crowned the winner, with the most Monopoly Crazy cash at the end of the night. With five games to choose from, it was fun to choose from a variety of games. I’m excited to play this game with my niece, Allison. She loves watching the Hub Network TV show, so I know she’d love this version too. Plus, she can probably beat me at Sorry Sliders!
In addition to the Nintendo Wii, Family Game night 4: The Game Show is also available for Xbox 360 and Playstation3.
