Have you noticed I’ve been missing this past week? With my husband out of town on a “boys only” snowboarding trip (that’s another story for another day),  I decided to hit the road too!  The girls and I packed up and hit the road to Alabama to visit my family!

We’ve had a fun week visiting my cousins, my second cousins, my aunt and uncle, my amazing grandparents and of course, my parents!  I’ve loved spending time with family and letting my girls get to know their extended family.  We spent some time with my grandparents this afternoon – my Grandma is the best!  She loved watching the girls play in the front yard, I got them to sit still long enough for a picture.

The weather has been perfect here too.  We found a great playground and the girls had a great time playing with their second cousin, Natalie!  She’s just a few months younger than Maggie – they quickly became friends!

It’s always great to get away from the daily routing and I’ve had such a great time visiting my family…but I miss my Penny the pup and my sweet Jack the cat.  And yes… I miss my husband too!
