I’ll be the first to tell you that I don’t exactly live the “greenest” lifestyle, there’s always room for improvement.  However, I strongly believe that every little bit helps.

With Earth Day coming up, I recently learned about the new line of SC Johnson’s concentrated cleaners and was interested in how I could incorporate them into my regular cleaning routine.

This new line of mini products includes fantastic®, Pledge®, Scrubbing Bubbles®, Shout® and Windex® – basically everything needed to keep my house clean!  These concentrated refills use less packaging, decrease shipping impacts and reduce overall waste.

I especially love that the SC Johnson starter kit comes with two reuseable bottles and printed labels.  Now, there’s really no need to buy a new bottle each time.  The mini products take care of it!

I was hesitant about mixing the cleaners, but found them very easy to use with simple instructions.  The amount of water to cleaner ratio varies on each, so be sure and read carefully!

• Avoids transporting 23 fl.oz. of water – nearly 1.5 pounds by weight!

• If 20 percent of those 320 million bottles were refilled rather than discarded, it could save seven million pounds of plastic!

I’m excited to continue using them – it’s may little way of helping make a difference!
