Not long after St. Patrick’s Day, I was browsing the WalMart clearance rack for kids clothes. I stumbled across a cute, little shirt for Molly and it was only $2 – bargain!
With cute shamrocks and a drawing of a little girl – the words on the shirt said “Little Miss Lucky”. Of course, due to the timing, I immediately thought about St. Patrick’s Day… but now a few months later the shirt has a whole, new meaning to me rather than just an Irish celebration.
Molly is my Little Miss Lucky.
Some people may think that her diagnosis of Down syndrome holds her back from doing things. Sure, she may be delayed in some areas, but she’s experiencing life just like any other kid. She loves the playground, she loves to eat and she especially likes to “read”.
She’s a typical kid….that just happens to have an extra chromosome. She’s truly the lucky one here…. she’s got something extra and I’m not just talking about her silly personality!
Besides the price, who would have ever guessed that a $2 shirt off the clearance rack would make me so proud?!
Now, who wants to help me find this shirt in a size 3T? Molly is about to outgrow this one!

What a cute shirt!! You of course already know I think Molly is cute too. And you are right, she is a lucky child, she has you as her mom (and of course she has her daddy and sister too)!
