With our seasonal Disney Parks passes set to begin their blackout period for the summer in a few weeks, we took a quick trip to Walt Disney World this past weekend. I can’t get over the looks of excitement and pure joy on the girls’ faces each time we are there.
Maggie was thrilled that she got to meet Tinkerbell and even more excited because she was wearing a Tinkerbell shirt that day.
Molly met a new friend this weekend too – King Louie! The “Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It!” Street Party is one of our favorite things to do at the Magic Kingdom. It’s a mini-parade right in front of the castle – the characters get off the floats and dance with everyone.
King Louie noticed Molly before he even got off of the float and came right over to her and asked us to dance. She seemed a little shy at first, but by the end of the parade, she was blowing him kisses and waving goodbye. It was such a neat experience.
And of course, no trip is complete to the Magic Kingdom without stopping by to see Mickey and Minnie. This meeting included a first for me – I’ve never seen Mickey wiggle his nose! He bent down to see Molly and wiggled his nose and then made kissing noises at her. It was truly a magical moment… and it made me cry.
There is something so special about experiencing Walt Disney World with little kids. I loved going to the parks as a kid, but visiting there really takes on a whole new meaning when you take your children.
What did you see this weekend?

Okay, I’m way too far away to go, but I know Merida arrived at WDW last week (my friend is one of her “clan”). Did you get to see her?

I didn’t even realize she was there until we got home yesterday and I read about it online! Boo! 🙁 I would have loved to have seen her – not sure how I missed her!
Next time we go, I’ll get some pictures for you!
