Five Question Friday – June 1

by Carrie with Children with 4 comments

It’s the first weekend in a very long time that we don’t have any plans! Hooray! What are your plans for the weekend?

Let’s get to the questions..be sure and share your answers below!

Just a reminder, I’m linking up with others for Five Question Friday and I don’t make up the questions. Click on the button above to see a linky list of others also participating.

What were you scared of as a kid?   I was scared of everything!  The one thing that jumps out at me that really scared me as a kid was the boat ride scene in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  You know, the part where Mr. Wonka is taking everyone on a leisurely boat ride and then it turns dark and scary as they go through a cove?  Please tell me someone knows what I’m talking about….

Do you sleep well in a hotel?   Yes!  I’m usually so tired by the end of the day that I’m ready for my head to hit the pillow at night.  I have no trouble falling asleep in hotel rooms.

If you could meet an celebrity, dead or alive, who and why?  My no-brainer response – Garth Brooks.  I love him. A lot.  I actually had the opportunity to meet him in 1992, but I’d love to meet him again now that I’m older … and wiser.  So many things I’d like to ask him.  So many things I’d like to tell him about his music was (and still is) a part of my life.

It’s a hot summer day.  Do you prefer to be pool side or at the beach?  I like both, but I’d much rather be at the pool.  There’s no sand there!  Plus, there’s no chance of sharks in the water at the pool!

What is your favorite summer dish?  Ice cream!  (Does that count as a dish?)

I know what scene you’re talking about – it is pretty creepy, but Gene Wilder makes it so believable.
