Five Question Friday – June 29

by Carrie with Children with 2 comments

It’s the first weekend in a very long time that we don’t have any plans! Hooray! What are your plans for the weekend?

Let’s get to the questions..be sure and share your answers below!

Just a reminder, I’m linking up with others for Five Question Friday and I don’t make up the questions. Click on the button above to see a linky list of others also participating.

What’s your favorite childhood snack that you still eat as an adult?  Does a peanut butter and jelly sandwich count as a snack?  I have one at least once a week for lunch.  It always makes me feel like I’m back in elementary school again.  Only apple jelly though.. it’s my favorite!

What food will you not eat the low-fat version of?   I don’t mind low-fat cheese, but fat-free cheese…yuck! I just can’t do it.  It tastes like you are eating cardboard.  Low-fat cheese is totally cool though.

What’s your favorite way to cool off during the summer?  I’ve been on a pink lemonade kick lately.  I just can’t get enough of it!  It’s refreshing and delicious.  We’ve been playing outside in the backyard a lot lately and pink lemonade is my “go to” drink.

What is your favorite summer read?   This is really terrible, but I couldn’t tell you the last time I took a timeout for myself to read a book.  I do love reading “Goodnight Moon” each night to my girls though. Does that count?   And I also like reading my Twitter stream and Facebook timeline 🙂

What are you doing to stay cool in this awful heat?  Well, this past week we’ve seen nothing but rain, thanks to Tropical Storm Debby.  Yesterday was the first day of full sunshine we’ve had in almost a week. Of course, tomorrow it is supposed to be in the high-90s.  I think we’ll probably play in the pool some this weekend to stay cool.

I’m not sure how I all of a sudden started drinking it – but it may be my new “go to” drink this summer.
