Summer Has Arrived at Seasons 52 #S52Summer

Summer has arrived… and for most it means vacation, school’s out and warmer weather, but for the folks at Seasons 52 – summertime means new menu items!  Last week, I had the opportunity to preview the new Seasons 52 summer menu here in Jacksonville, Florida and it didn’t disappoint!

With a variety of new menu items, Seasons 52 still stands by their pledge that every dish is under 475 calories.  And don’t even think about asking for butter, you won’t find it anywhere in the restaurant!

Both the BBQ chicken flatbread and the Artichoke & Goat Cheese flatbread are a great way to start of the meal. If you dine at the restaurant, try the Watermelon refresher and the Strawberry Lemon Euphoria drinks – both perfect after a hot day outside.  I wish they could bottle them up for me to take to the beach – it’s delicious!

This summer features a new chilled lobster and shrimp spring roll.  I surprised myself and really loved it.  With three dipping sauces – a cool salsa verde, a lemongrass sauce and a sweet-hot red chili sauce – the spring rolls were light, refreshing and perfect for sharing.

My favorite dish of the night was the Wild Alaskan Copper River Salmon, paired with a creamy corn risotto and large asparagus spears.  A close second, was the delicious 11-ounce Piedmontese all-natural bone-in strip steak.  It’s a  steak that’s grass fed, range-raised and still coming in at less than 475 calories!

Our night ended with the Seasons 52 signature Mini Indulgences desserts.  New for the summertime menu are the Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cannoli and a summer Blueberry Cheesecake indulgences.  I couldn’t pull myself away from the Key Lime Pie and the mini Pecan Pie indulgences – they are my two favorites and exactly the right portion size.

I love that they pledge that every dish is under 475 calories, more restaurants should follow their lead. It looks like they have such an amazing menu as well. I would love to try the spring rolls and Alaskan Copper River Salmon. Yum!

I absolutely love that their meals are all under 500 calories! That makes it so much easier when you’re trying to watch what you’re eating. I wish there was one here.

The dishes are so tasty and still filled with flavor! They are also very open to helping those with special dietary needs too – gluten free, peanut allergies, etc. It’s a very welcoming place.
