Down Syndrome Doesn’t Stop My Daughter! #SpecialNeeds #DownSyndrome

by Carrie with Children with 23 comments

Every six weeks, I write a guest column for my local newspaper, the Florida Times-Union.  I love that I have the ability to choose my own topic. And while I don’t always choose to write about Molly, I think it’s a fantastic place for me to use my voice and help share about the world of Down syndrome.

Today’s article is entitled, “Down Syndrome Not Stopping My Daughter Molly”.  I hope you’ll stop by and read it.  I’m so proud of Molly and all of her accomplishments.

I think it’s important for all communities to understand that those with special needs want to be included… and their parents want it too!  Let me know what you think about my article!

I’m so glad that everything is going so well with Molly, she’s having fun in that car picture.

My mom teaches the special ed class of my hometown elementary school and I have to say having that support is so key. I also think having great teachers once she gets old enough will be so wonderful for your who family. I love the relationship between my mom and her students!

I just enjoy reading these posts of yours Carrie!
