I’m home from a fantastic long weekend in New York City! The BlogHer’12 conference was inspiring, busy and tons of fun. Being surrounded by 6,000 other bloggers is an overwhelming, but fantastic experience. I have so many fun stories to share with you over the next few weeks.
While I play catchup on getting back into the groove of life at home, hugging my babies and TONS of laundry.. Here are a few sneak peek pictures from my trip!
I had a little time to explore the city – but not nearly enough time to see everything! Thankfully, an old friend lives in NYC and he spent an afternoon with me showing off the sights. (I’ve got lots of cool places to tell you about in an upcoming post!)
I had lunch with Martha Stewart on Friday… kind of. I’m not a huge Martha fan, but felt like I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hear her wise wisdom. It was an interesting discussion to hear how she has created a media empire and how she integrates the online world into the mix.
Saturday morning, I hung out with my best pals Minnie and Jake at the Disney Junior breakfast. There are so many great things coming soon with Disney Junior – I loved hearing about it first hand. (Blog post on that coming soon too!)
And each night, I loved coming back to my ‘home away from home’ the Hotel Wolcott. It’s fantastic location, comfortable bed and FREE breakfast made my trip even better! (And yes, I have lots to tell you about this property – even a video blog!)
So that’s my very brief wrap-up of just a few things I saw this past weekend. I’ve got a LONG list of stories to share!
It was a whirlwind weekend filled with laughs, learning and hugs. And next year, BlogHer’13 is in Chicago! See you there?!
What did you see this weekend?
** My accommodations for BlogHer’12 were provided by the Hotel Wolcott. Thoughts and opinions here are 100% my own. **

Sounds like a great time at BlogHer! Cant wait to hear all about it! Love the picture with Minnie! Tips or things you would tell a newbie, who wants to go to BlogHer’13 in Chicago?
Carrie with Children
It was such a fantastic trip! My biggest tip for a newbie would be to not stress out about what everyone is else is doing! Wear what makes you comfortable, go to the events you can, don’t worry about the ones that you can’t and make as many friends as possible!
