Did you know that September 16-22nd is Child Passenger Safety Week?  Tomorrow is also National Seat Check Saturday with certified child passenger safety technicians available to inspect car seats and provide advice free of charge at designated spots across the country.  (Keep reading to learn about events this weekend!)

Last week, we had the opportunity to test out the Buick Enclave, thanks to the folks at GM in the Southeast.  It was a beautiful car and and I didn’t even hesitate to take the car seats out of my current car so we could ride in style for the week.

A few of my favorite features included the DVD player built directly into the headrests, the Enclave had three rows with tons of cargo space and the huge navigation screen.

Check out these car seat safety recommendations from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration –

• Select a car seat based on your child’s age and size and choose a seat that fits in your vehicle and use it every time.
• To maximize safety, keep your child in the car seat as long as possible, as long as the child fits within the manufacturing height and weight requirements.
• Keep your child in the back seat at least through age 12.
