This past Saturday, we celebrated one of my oldest friend’s husband, Brent. A few weeks ago, he returned home from Afghanistan and we welcomed him home with a fun party!
I loved celebrating Brent’s homecoming and spending time with friends that I’ve known since elementary school. It was so neat to see all of our children playing together!
It was perfect (Florida) Fall weather for our celebration. The kids had a great time playing on the playground, roasting S’mores and Molly loved blowing bubbles.
Today was a great reminder that we need to get together more often. It was also a great reminder that no matter the miles or time since we’d seen each other last – the conversation can always pick up right where we left it.
The cake for today’s homecoming celebration was decorated in camouflage colors. The kids had a great time decorating the cake with little Army men action figures and props. It was a great way to get them involved in the celebration and have fun too!
What did you see this weekend?
