What I Saw This Weekend – Family Fun Day!

Hooray for beautiful weather this weekend!  On Saturday, we spent the day at a Family Fun Day celebration for Hope Haven’s Children’s Clinic and Family Center – where Molly goes for therapies.

We celebrated at a local partk complete with a huge playground, a DJ, games, arts/crafts and even a performance by the DSAJ Starz – a local cheerleading group featuring kids with Down syndrome…. and Maggie’s favorite – hula hoops!

I was really excited to see the craft tables set up.  Each of the activities was very hands-on and most were led by therapists from Hope Haven too!

My favorite activity of the day was having each child place one handprint on a canvas.  These canvas are going to be hung in the hallways at Hope Haven – such a fun way to remember the day and our children too!

Molly was too much of a social butterfly during the Family Fun Day.  I can’t believe I didn’t get one good picture of her while we were there!  Shame on me!

What did you see this weekend?!
