School is back in session and that means it’s time for us to get back into a routine as a family. During the summertime, our house is pretty laidback, but the last few weeks we’ve been transitioning into scheduled dinner times and a nightly bedtime routine.
My husband is very active in our local D.A.D.S. group (Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome) and attends their dinner/chapter meetings once a month. I love that he’s so active in such an important group. On those nights, I still like the girls to have a hot meal, but don’t want to cook a huge dinner.
Pillsbury Grands! are my go-to ingredient – our new favorite dish are the Grands! Mini Pizzas. Earlier this week, I let the girls help make dinner and they loved it! The funny thing is, I think they ate more than normal just because they got to help in the kitchen. Maggie insisted on her pizza having “at least ten” pepperoni slices – I talked her down to just three instead.
After a busy day of school and running errands, it was nice to have fun in the kitchen cooking with my girls and sharing a meal with them. No boys allowed! I think we’ll make that a more regular mom/daughter night thing – we all had fun!
If you’re like me and in need of some quick and easy meal ideas, download this great Pillsbury recipe booklet. There are a lot of great recipes featured and I’ve added a few to my list of ‘must try’ very soon. I think I’m going to try the Grands! Barbecue Cups next week – they look tasty!
Which Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits recipe are you most excited to try?
