Halloween is quickly approaching, yet Maggie has known for months that she wanted to be a princess on the big day. The hard part? Deciding *which* princess – she’s narrowed it down to Sofia, Princess Aurora and Princess Ariel. I think Molly will be a fairy (again).
While I love having fun at Halloween and all the fall fun that comes with it, my priority is safety. Sadly, our neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks – so that’s another level of precautions. So, I decided this year to get creative and make our Step2 wagon a part of the Halloween festivities and make it a princess carriage.
When I explained my idea to Maggie – she was so excited to help! I told her instead of walking, she could ride like royalty in her new carriage – she was thrilled! She’d be safe and comfortable and she’d look great too!
We found some fun free princess printables from The Hostess with the Mostess blog – I printed them out and Maggie couldn’t wait to start decorating. The printables were for party favors, but we just used them along the sides of the wagon. Maggie insisted that her princess carriage have her name on it – so she made a license plate for the back! Ha! I found some streamers and added some to the handle and around the sides and we were ready!
Maggie was so excited to have her very own princess carriage that she asked me if we could go for a ride around the neighborhood, but she wanted to wear her princess dress. Who was I to say no?!
The next thing I knew, we were headed out to test our new princess carriage. Maggie waved at the neighbors like she was a real princess and everything. So silly.
We had a fun afternoon getting ready for Halloween and I feel better knowing the girls will be safe as we make our way through the neighborhood in a few weeks.
How are you preparing for Halloween?
