Experience Havertys Home Fashion Workshops #HavertysHomeFashion
by Carrie with Children with
Even though I’ve lived in the same house for seven years, I’m constantly looking to update and refurnish rooms. Last year, I attended one of the Havertys Home Fashion Workshop and I learned a lot of great tips and decorating ideas. The folks at Havertys recently announced their 2014 workshops and I’m excited to attend a few of them. (Keep reading to learn more!)
The class I attended was all about ‘A La Carte’ pieces – we learned about mixing and matching patterns and accent pieces to complete a room. I’ve always been afraid to mix patterns – especially in furniture and the folks at Havertys showed me different scenarios of mixing contrasting materials – and it inspired me to do the same in my house.
Louise, my workshop instructor taught me a lot about finding accent pieces for my home that ‘popped’. Even something as a table fixture or a painting could really change the look and feel of a room. My local Havertys store had some beautiful pieces to choose from too – a great place to find those accents.
