I know it’s already Tuesday and no longer the weekend, but I’m playing catch up here…..
This past weekend I attended my very first Type-A Conference! It was a one-day bootcamp with great sessions on blogging and blogging relations and of course, time to hang out with friends from across the country. The conference was at Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk Inn (I’ll have the scoop on the resort for a travel post another day…)
It was fun to meet friends that I knew online, but had never met in person. I finally met Jen, from Born Just Right and Kristin from BamagirlRuns – it’s like an instant friend when you’ve talked so much online and finally get to meet in person.
And of course, the event wasn’t complete without a little magical pixie dust – after all, it was a conference at Walt Disney World! Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen stopped by to say hello!
You should have heard the squeals and cheers when they walked into the room. (And yes, I was one of the squeals.) I decided to not tell Maggie and Molly that I met their friends – they would have never forgiven me.
There’s nothing like being surrounded by your peers to get your internal wheels spinning and a little Disney magic certainly helps too.
I arrived at the conference hoping to find a spark and a gentle nudge. I left feeling inspired and excited about the path my writing is taking me.
I hope you’ll continue to follow along with my journey.
** I paid for my entire trip to Walt Disney World and bought my own conference pass. I’m sharing this story with you because it’s a part of my life – not because I was asked to tell you. **
