This weekend, the Carnival Freedom arrives at her new home port in Galveston, Texas and I’ll be there to join the festivities as Carnival Cruise Lines hosts a celebration to honor U.S. military families.

Through a partnership with Operation Homefront, Carnival is providing a day of onboard fun and exciting activities for service members and their families. Guests will also be treated to a Carnival LIVE performance by Martina McBride on the Lido deck. How cool is that?

Military families that have registered through Operation Homefront will enjoy an entire day of fun and have the opportunity to spend the night aboard the ship too. It’s going to be a fun event, perfect for military members to spend Valentine’s Day with their loved ones – all compliments of Carnival Cruise Line.

Prior to the concert, Carnival will conduct a special check presentation to Operation Homefront providing $100,000 to the organization.

Celebrate Freedom

My family and I sailed on the Carnival Freedom last summer, so I’m excited to return to this great ship and experience the fun with members of our military.

From Camp Ocean to BlueIguana Cantina and my personal favorite, Guy’s Burger Joint – the Carnival Freedom recently completed a $70 million makeover providing more fun, food and excitement to the cruising experience.

I’m excited to be a part of this event and can’t wait to share the excitement with you too!
