I was surprised to recently learn that 7 out of 10 young girls start out with an interest in science and math, yet only a small percent pursue STEM-related degrees. This is something Microsoft has been talking about a lot lately and it makes them worried: for our girls, for our culture and for society’s ability to continue to make leaps in technology.
Microsoft recently produced this fantastic video asking girls to reflect on how and why they used technology. This video is inspiring and powerful – something every little girl should watch.
I don’t believe in ‘it’s a boy thing only’ and I refuse to let me girls think and talk that way. There are no boundaries when it comes to learning!
