Review: Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom #MonkeyKingdomEvent

by Carrie with Children with 9 comments

This week, I’ve been in Orlando celebrating the release of Disneynature’s newest movie, Monkey Kingdom and I was excited to see an advanced screening of the film this week. The film offers a look at the lives of two troops within the jungles of Sri Lanka.

As the story unfolds along the way, Maya becomes the focus of the film and she quickly captured my heart.  She works hard for her troop, family as the story tells of the struggles and hierarchy with other monkeys within the iconic Castle Rock.

With narration by Tina Fey, the film features some great quips in a way that only she could pull off. While the film is extremely educational, the monkeys create mischief for the townsfolks that will keep you laughing too.

At 88 minutes, the film is at a great length for younger children and I’m excited to take both my girls to see this upcoming week.

I’m so excited to see this and glad that it sounds as if Tina Fey is every bit as a great as I anticipated. Love the donation to Conservation International, too!
