I’ve been thinking for weeks now how to start this post and Molly’s big day is finally here and I’m still not sure. Our little Molly turns a year old today….and I couldn’t be more proud of her. It’s been an emotional year – we’ve learned a lot, cried a little and most importantly loved and laughed throughout our journey.
I can remember every, single moment of the day Molly was born, maybe it’s because I was only in labor a little over an hour (I’ll share that exciting story another time) or maybe it’s just because I was ecstatic that I had give birth to a sweet, little girl. Whatever it was, I know that I am proud to be her mom…and even more proud that she is my daughter!
I love my Molly and I have no regrets. Her strength and determination amaze me every day. I choose not to worry about her future, but to cherish each day that I wake up and see her precious, smiling face peering over the side of that crib…begging to get out!
This site was where I decided to share Molly’s birth story and the news of her diagnosis…your words of encouragement and support have meant so much to me. I can’t wait until Molly gets older and learns she’s got her own group of online cheerleaders rooting for her!
I thank you for reading and following along on our journey….the fun has only begun here! Check back in this afternoon for more, cute pictures and a look back at my favorite Molly stories!
And now…I’m running off to smooch on the birthday girl! Let the birthday celebration begin!
