A Successful Halloween for The Garden Gnome…So Far

by Carrie with Children with 8 comments

What a busy two days for my little garden gnome and it’s not even officially Halloween yet!  A few weeks ago, I wrote about whether we would even participate in Halloween since Maggie was still young..  but wow I am so glad we did. She’s had a such a fun time so far…and she LOVES wearing the garden gnome costume. Actually, she loves it a little too much. Molly was a cute baby for Halloween this year.  (aka She didn’t dress up).

We carved pumpkins last night with my in-laws.  Maggie was more excited that her cousin had a xylophone than she was about carving pumpkins.  Although, she was very quick to inspect Daddy’s work on the pumpkin.

Today, we took the girls to the Riverside Arts Market for their Halloween festivities.  There was trick or treating, a costume contest, pumpkin chunkin’ and even a dance group that performed Thriller.  We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the perfect Florida weather.  Maggie insisted on wearing her sunglasses the whole time we were there… such a drama queen, but so cute.

After a long nap, we took Maggie to the grocery store for their trick or treating event.  She loved hanging out in her costume and saying hello to all of her “friends” that work there. She didn’t want any of the candy in her bucket…she carried it in her hands the whole time. She also insisted on wearing her sunglasses…again. Silly.

Such a busy two days…  I’m not sure how we can top today’s excitement tomorrow, when it’s actually Halloween! Stay tuned!

Awesome costume! Too cute! That is cool that she leaves the hat on…my daughter always takes them off.

Thanks for linking up with us for Relax & Surf Sunday. Happy Halloween!

Thanks LeeAnn. She really loved her outfit and I was kinda surprised she liked the hat. I thought that would be the hard part, but any time it fell off, she would bring it to me to put it back on for her. 🙂

Hope your little ones have a fun Halloween!
