I love how much my kids love their sandbox. I’m not so in love with how much sand comes in the house. Tip: If you let her wear a tutu in there, you will have sand pouring from her skirts for hours to come. I learned that the hard way. 🙂
Ha! I know exactly what you mean about the sand getting in the house! Ugh! Seems like we’ve got in everywhere the last few days. Thanks for the tip on the tutu 🙂
My Maggie is 28 months old and is in LOVE with this sandbox. It took her awhile to warm up actually sitting in it, she started sitting on the side. Now..she jumps right in, no problem!
She looks like she’s having a blast! Evan doesn’t have a sandbox but he does have a sand table. He often pours the sand out on the ground which drives me nuts but he thinks is great fun.
I want to get a sandbox this spring for my son… I think he’d love it! I just need to find a good sized one with a lid or else the area kitties will be using it for a litter box!
Jackie – The one we bought is a Step2 brand..plenty of room for two kids..maybe even three and it comes with a lid, that was my main requirement. We are really happy with it so far.
I miss those days!
The sandbox was by far the coolest thing and the one activity they loved the most. And several Mom’s refused to deal with the mess, so I was the cool Mom since we had two. Covering them is a good thing – yes, Jackie, cats do like them!
But hours and hours of peace and quiet …
You are one brave woman! My son would so be pooping sand, and my grass would be trashed!! We are going to try a water/sand table this summer though. “)
You always make me so jealous of all that warm weather :). We moved to our place last year and it already had a sandbox. My daughter was still too little last year to play in it so this year – let the fun begin!
Well I kinda botched up the Linky with my name instead of a title but HAPPY WW anyway

Thanks! Maggie is loving it! It’s a Step2 brand and we love it because it has a lid! Keeps out the dog and neighborhood cats!

Oh I wish the weather was warm enough here for playing in a sand box!!
Carrie with Children
We’ve been pretty lucky here in Florida the last week or so. It’s been in the mid-70s! Yay for Spring! I hope the warmer weather finds you soon!
Crissy
Cute! I am wondering what the appropriate age for a sand box is…

My girls love their sandbox too. Now if it would just dry out enough for them to play in it!
Happy WW!

Sigh. I’m going to start running out of room in our backyard if I buy a sandbox….she looks like she’s having a fab time.
Happy WW and thanks for the linky 🙂
Jessica
Good thing spring is almost here so the weather will be nicer and she can spend more time in that sandbox.
Carrie with Children
It’s already Spring here in Florida! Today’s high is 76! Yay for more sandbox time!

You’re very brave – I’m afraid to get my son a sandbox, he’d be a disaster in it!!
Carrie with Children
Oh yes, Maggie is a disaster in it! lol She has realized that sand isn’t good to eat. 🙂

We have that same sandbox! But most of the sand ends up on the patio. I think we need to buy some more. Sanboxes are the best though!
Hope you are doing well! XoXo
