To say that I like Paula Deen would be a understatement. I love Paula Deen!  Southern food is my favorite and I love making her recipes! For my bachelorette party four years ago, we  went to Savannah (Paula’s hometown) just so we could eat at her restaurant, The Lady & Sons.  We even took the official Paula Deen tour of Savannah – so fun!

With that said, I’m excited to tell you about an exciting,  live Twitter event April 14th (tomorrow) at 1pm EST featuring Paula Deen and the Real Women of Philadelphia hosted by MSN Wonderwall.  Paula will be answering your questions live during the event and tweeting about the second season of the Real Women of Philadelphia cooking contest.

There’s no hashtag for the Twitter event (anyone else find this strange?) but you can join in on the chat by following @Paula_Deen and @WonderWallMSN.

Interested in learning more about the Real Women of Philadelphia cooking contest?  Here’s the scoop –

Southern Cooking Queen Paula Deen and Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese are back to help make four women’s dreams come true in Season 2 of the Real Women of Philadelphia cooking competition.  Home cooks nationwide are finding their favorite Philly recipes to compete for the chance to be one of four lucky women to win $25,000, star in their own cooking videos and contribute to a cookbook featuring the Real Women of Philadelphia online community’s favorite cream cheese recipes.

Beginning April 4, women will create short, tasty, entertaining and creative cooking videos for submission in one of four categories:  Appetizer, Side Dish, Entree and Dessert. Videos will be submitted to

Each week, one recipe from each of the four categories will be selected. The 16 finalists will have the opportunity to meet Paula Deen in person and compete in a cook-off at the 2nd Annual Real Women of Philadelphia Live Event which will take place June 30 in Savannah, GA.  Paula Deen will crown 4 winners; 1 in each cooking category.

For those of you on Twitter – I’ll be joining in on the chat.  Find me on Twitter at @CarrieWChildren.  “See” you there?

** I received no compensation for this post.  I’m a fan of Paula Deen and I’m excited about this event. **
