Excellent vlog with perfect advice!
I did those exact things before, during, and after the three conferences I’ve been to.
I have since kept in touch via blogs, email, twitter & Facebook with lots of the people I met at those conferences and I completely love them… LIKE YOU!
Good point. I always say Twitter is for me and Facebook is for my readers. I connect with brands, peers and local folks on twitter and it’s a great way to get to know people that will be attending.
I’ve even met up and roomed at conferences with folks I had only previously met on Twitter. (sshhhh don’t tell my mom!)

Thanks Lorie! Networking and following up makes a huge difference! 🙂
I’m so glad we had a chance to meet at Disney too! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll see eachother there again next year! 🙂

I think that’s a great way to look at it, Karen! Twitter friends = real friends (or at least most of them! hehehehe)
