Dinner Made Easy with Hillshire Farm #GrilledEssentials #CBias

This past weekend, the folks at Collective Bias sent me on a mission to WalMart to try out the new Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials chicken breasts. I’m always interested to find products that make life easier in the kitchen – and with the Grilled Essentials easily prepared in 60 seconds, I couldn’t wait to give it a try!

Once we tracked them down in our local WalMart, we were excited to find four Grilled Essential flavors to choose from – Lemon Pepper, Original Grilled, Italian Style and Garlic Herb.  Many of the boxes at our store had coupons attached for 55 cents off – and with a retail price of $3.48, that was a great deal for two chicken breasts!

These prepackaged, precooked chicken breasts come two in a box and after 60 seconds in the microwave, we had delicious chicken breasts ready to eat!  So simple!  We decided to have chicken fajitas for dinner and with little prep work (peppers, onions, cheese and sour cream) we were at the table and ready to eat!  (I chopped some of the chicken breast up for the girls to eat for dinner – no fajitas for them!)

We were very impressed with the fresh flavors of the chicken breasts and that it really tasted like it was straight off the grill.  For our fajitas, we used the lemon pepper flavored Grilled Essentials.  And while it was a great match with our fajitas, I hope in the future Hillshire Farm will consider adding additional flavors for Mexican foods.

As we finished our meal, my husband and I talked about other ways we could incorporate Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials into our family’s meals.  I think they would make for a great pairing with a salad or as a chicken sandwich for lunch.  For dinner , I’m excited to try the Italian Style Grilled Essentials with my favorite chicken spaghetti dish.

Have you tried Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials?  If so, what did you think of them?!

We just tried them at our house, Carrie, and loved the Italian flavor in Easy Chicken Faux-fredo with Fettucine. The Lemon Pepper and Garlic herb weren’t available where I shopped, but I will definitely look for both, now. I love how fast and easy they are to cook with on a hectic night.
