Favorite Monday Video: Disabilities and Acceptance

by Carrie with Children with 9 comments

I typically share my favorite video of the week on Friday afternoons, but this one was so fantastic I couldn’t wait until Friday!

Mark Woods, a fantastic journalist at the Florida Times-Union shared this today and it’s heartwarming.  I especially love that it’s a video with no words – just actions, yet it says so much about disabilities and acceptance.

I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Melissa! I loved it!

Though the video looks to have been filmed in Italy, the message is universal. Older adults who live alone have been shown to have their immune systems boosted by contact (such as hugs)

You are exactly right, Kymberly – it’s a universal message! A simple hug can do so much for a person.

I love it!!! My sister just had a baby this summer that has Trisomy 18. The odds are so against him, but he’s now 4 months old! I’m going to share this video with my sister!!! Thanks for stopping by Planet of the Apels.
