What I Saw This Weekend… Rain!

This weekend, I was hoping to spend a lot of time outdoors soaking up the sunshine.  Tropical Storm Beryl had other plans for my Memorial Day weekend.

Saturday morning, we managed to visit the Riverside Arts Market before the rains came in.  Molly loved seeing the river – she’s almost tall enough to see over the wall.

With Tropical Storm Beryl coming soon, we decided to have lunch outside on the riverfront.  One of the food vendors at the market was selling homemade knishes, I had never had one before so I gave it a try.  My potato and cheddar knish was really great – I’ll be visiting their knish booth more often!

Sunday afternoon, the skies grew dark and Tropical Storm Beryl made her way ashore…  and it’s been raining, windy and dark ever since.  Thankfully, we haven’t lost power.. there are many in my area that did.

I’m hoping that the sun will return soon!   Two days of rain and wind is enough for me!

What did you see this weekend?

Saturday Leland and I rode our bikes down to the boat ramp and there were lots of boats and jet skis launching.
Sunday saw winds increase and sun decrease-we did lose power when we woke up this morning electricity was back but we lost phone service.
Today Leland and I went to my nail appointment and we saw several trees down in Fernandina Beach.

Sounds like we all had a pretty yucky weekend! Hope your phone is up and running again, Pam!

Ugh, can’t believe it’s started already. Sorry you had to deal with all that rain.

This storm snuck up on us very quickly. I hate hurricane/tropical storm season!
