This past weekend was one of  relaxation and some well-deserved quiet time on the beach. A time where I was just “Carrie” and not “Carrie with Children”. (I’ll share the full details of our staycation tomorrow for Travel Tuesday!)

I spent some time Saturday under an umbrella on the beach, just enjoying the view with a few good magazines and a few strawberry daiquiris.  It was the perfect way to unwind and long overdue!

After a great day at the beach, my husband and I freshened up and headed out for dinner at 29 South Restaurant in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  We had a fantastic dinner and the opportunity to try something new…  a lobster corn dog!   When you see that on a menu, it’s hard *not* ordering it! It was delicious!

Our mini-staycation was really a lot of fun.  We visited places that were new to us and we’ve already decided we’ll definitely be going back again. I’m already daydreaming about another strawberry daiquiri on the beach!
