I’m home from Nashville and the inaugural Keen Digital Summit and I’m feeling refreshed and inspired.  Isn’t it funny how a few days away helps to recharge your internal batteries?

The conference featured sessions with marketers, entrepreneurs, magazine editors, public relations pros and even bloggers.  There were sessions that talked about starting your own business, writing (and publishing) your own book and each session kept coming back to the same topic – passion.  How to use the passion inside of you to follow your heart and create a business you love.

I went to the conference hoping to find a spark of inspiration and have a ‘lightbulb moment’ and I think I found it.  I spent my entire plane ride home yesterday putting together a plan of attack and I’m excited about a new project.

Before the conference started, I spent some time at one of my absolute favorite places – the Country Music Hall of Fame.  I’m a huge music lover, especially country music – it’s fascinating to see so much history in one building.  The rotunda is my favorite place at the museum. I love admiring the plaques of all the artists and musicians that have left a tremendous legacy on the music industry.

Even though I have no musical abilities – I was inspired by reading the stories of these legends.  It may be a stretch, but I definitely saw a connection between the people enshrined in the Hall of Fame and the entrepreneurs at the Keen Digital Summit.

Following your dreams and passion leads to great things – just like the entrepreneurs and musical artists I met this weekend.  I’m ready to follow mine now too!
