The holidays are about showing compassion, giving to others and surrounding yourself with loved ones and creating family traditions. One of those family traditions for me is sharing great food with one another. There are just certain foods that remind me of the holidays – one of those is Hickory Farms cheeses and meat selections.
We recently had the opportunity to try out their Cheddar Flight with Salami, part of the new Reserve collection. With five cheeses – Smoked Garlic Cheddar, the Apple Smoked Cheddar with Paprika, the Classic Cheddar and the Three Year Aged Cheddar – this cheese-loving mama was in heaven! I think my favorite out of the group was the Smoked Garlic Cheddar – just enough smoky flavor and the garlic is a great touch, paired together with the signature salami and it was a fantastic combo!
The Cheddar Flight with Sausage has been the perfect treat for our family. What I especially loved with this new Reserve collection is that each cheese has wine pairing suggestions with it. I’ve been snacking on it while I wrap presents and I’ve made sure to leave enough to make a cheese plate for Christmas Day too. It’s one of those family traditions that I just love the most – good food, surrounded by my family.
Isn’t it funny how certain foods can bring back certain memories? The Hickory Farms gifts are definitely the foods that remind me of wonderful Christmas memories and I’d love to help celebrate that with you too!
