Traveling with my children is something I love to do – it’s a time to make memories, explore new places and just have fun. So with that said — here’s something I haven’t said in about ten years or so….

We are going on a CRUISE! 

My family and I have been invited to sail on the Carnival Sunshine‘s inaugural voyage from its new homeport of Port Canaveral on April 17th. In addition to sailing from a new port, the ship underwent a $155 million makeover last year – I cannot wait to see it! It’s been almost ten years since I’ve been on a cruise and am thrilled to have the opportunity to take our girls along too.

Fun on The Fun Ship

Here are a few things I’m most excited to experience –

Outdoor adventures – The new WaterWorks features a 334-foot-long Twister slide, it’s Carnival’s longest slide! I also can’t wait to try the suspended ropes course and two-level mini golf course at SportsSquare. Maggie loves playing mini-golf, so I’m sure we’ll be spending a lot of time there.

Food, Food and More Food – My girls are picky eaters, so I was relieved to see that Carnival offers a variety of choices on their kids menu. Me, however – I can’t wait to try Ji Ji Asian Kitchen – Carnival’s first Asian restaurant, Guy’s Burger Joint featuring burgers created by Chef Guy Fieri and I plan on ending each night with ice cream!

Relaxation – Maybe I’ll get a little quiet time to experience the spa. A girl can dream, right? I’m also very excited to have a frozen drink with a fun, little umbrella in it. Sometimes it’s the little things in life that get me excited.
